March is Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month. We often get inquiries from customers on what to give a loved one living with MS. Today, we're sharing some of our best-loved gift ideas for your loved ones with MS.
What is Multiple Sclerosis?
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. It affects over 1 million people in the United States.
It can be difficult to know how to support a loved one with MS as the symptoms can be variable and unpredictable. According to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, “no two people have exactly the same symptoms, and each person’s symptoms can change or fluctuate over time. One person might experience only one or two of the possible symptoms while another person experiences many more.”
Certain symptoms that tend to be more common, however, are extreme fatigue, numbness and/or tingling, spasticity, vision problems and dizziness. When creating a care package for someone with MS, we take all of these potential challenges into account.
What are the best gifts for someone with MS?
Gifting is powerful and a well-timed, thoughtful gift can make all the difference to someone facing an unfamiliar chapter. Below are some gift ideas to help a loved one with Multiple Sclerosis, all of which are intended to soothe and comfort.
Lavender Neck Wrap
Many people with MS have trouble with heat; this neck wrap is easily cooled in one’s refrigerator. It has a soothing lavender scent, never over-powering, which also helps calm the central nervous system.
Arnica Hand Cream
This rich cream incorporates arnica, an ancient flower used for centuries to treat inflammation, along with shea and cocoa butters, to moisturize skin and help bring relief.
Puzzles
Living with MS can often mean a lot of time indoors, relaxing at home. Boredom can be an issue. For some, puzzles are an excellent distraction and create an activity of lasting value. We love this Gray Malin reversible puzzle – two puzzles in one!—featuring his exquisite photography.
Bedside Accessories
Cozy blankets, socks, robes and silk pillowcases are customer favorites for good reason. Anything to make her experience in bed more luxurious and comfortable will make a terrific gift. Below are some wonderful options from our collection.
The best part? She will always remember your support when she uses them.
Complete your care package with a thoughtful candle or shower steamers, all with the intention of elevating her every day.
When in doubt, send love.

Sending you prayers, I was diagnosed in 2010 and seemed to go down hill quickly. In six years I could no longer work and had real problems with balance and joint pain. Brain fog was really bad sometimes. I took rebif and had a lot of problems and had to quit. I have been on techfadera (not spelled right) for a few years and have several side effects. I felt lost and decided to quit my meds due to side effects. Our care provider introduced me to Ayurvedic treatment. I had a total decline of all symptoms including vision problems, numbness and others. Sometimes, i totally forget i ever had MS. Visit Natural Herbs Centre web-site naturalherbscentre. com. I am very pleased with this treatment. I eat well, sleep well and exercise regularly. God bless all MS Warriors
